Coronavirus:
We are still here. We are still serving.

April 20, 2020

As we adjust to a Covid-19 world right now, we recognize that our families, our jobs, and our communities look much different than they did a few weeks ago. Life feels upside down, and we're not sure when things will go back to "normal."

For those who are homeless, are battling substance abuse, have mental health concerns, are living with abuse and exploitation, or can't access food and resources, these times are especially critical.

We are still here, and while we have adapted our methods during this time, our mission has not changed. We are still providing food, toiletries, and resources to those who are in need, as well as continuing to provide safe housing and support for trafficking survivors. We are also coordinating with churches and other community organizations in order to most effectively reach those with the greatest needs in our community. Most importantly, we continue to share the love and hope of Christ in everything we do.

While we can't gather inside Anchor right now, we are providing to-go meals through our sliding window for those in need on Wednesdays from 11:30-1:00. Limited staff will be there distributing food and praying (from a distance) for those who would like prayer. In addition, our work with Mobile Ministries also continues to provide food and clothing to those in need. We also pray regularly for those we serve and check in with them as often as we can.

We want you to know that we are also here for YOU. If you have specific prayer requests that you would like us to pray for, we would consider it an honor to be able to lift you up in prayer. Just send us an email using the button below, and we will add you to our prayer list.

In the meantime, we pray for our leaders, healthcare workers, first responders, and all those on the front lines of this pandemic, as well as those who are the most vulnerable right now. We pray also that each of us would experience healing, new life, and restoration through the power of the Holy Spirit during this time. We're all in this together.

The new safe house.
